The well known nursery rhyme mentions several churches in the City of London and one of them, St Clement Danes, holds an annual service to commemorate it. The children from the local Primary School attend a special service and at the end the fruit is given out. The service is held on the third Thursday in March, which this year took place on 19th March. It was the first public service in which the newly refurbished Church could be seen. The church was rebuilt in 1680-82 by Sir Christopher Wren, and in 1669 Joshua Marshall created the west tower, the familiar spire was added by James Gibbs in 1719. We were thrilled to be selected by Fairhurst Ward Abbotts who are the main contractor and the Church itself to provide the audio visual installation for the newly refurbished building, supplying Bose speakers and their Digital Signal Processing system to ensure that the sound inside the Church is as perfect as the sound of the bells outside the Church!
