Additional needs

All forms of education involve the use of visual aids and audible information. Teaching people with additional needs places a special reliance on sound and visual techniques, some of which depend on a broader set of technologies than those used in more conventional educational settings.

Ashdown AV has worked with a number of specialist schools in Sussex, and can bring a range of skills and expertise into classrooms that many educational AV companies do not possess. Along with the usual educational requirements as described in the section on Schools and Colleges, there are particular elements to additional needs education where audio visual equipment is particularly useful.

Multi-sensory spaces

We have been involved in the design and implementation of multi-sensory rooms and also in adapting conventional interactive learning technologies for students with a wide range of needs.
